We did it!  We just survived a family trip to Walt Disney World!

It is important to remember when surviving a trip like this, to really take in the individual moments.  You need to remember to hold those in your own head.  And here’s why.

We had an epic trip.  We went to five days of parks – started at Magic Kingdom with rollercoasters, a trip to Tom Sawyer Island, meeting Merida, Ariel and Tinkerbell.  Then to Hollywood Studios with fun rides, shows and lunch with Jake, Sophia, Doc and Manny.  Next day was Animal Kingdom with the super awesome safari ride, river rapids, dancing in the streets and getting close to hippos.  Back to Magic Kingdom to celebrate my daughter’s 5th birthday!!  Is there better than that?  Celebrating your fifth birthday at Disney World?  More fun with Splash Mountain, dancing with Belle and riding It’s A Small World.  Our final day was spent at Epcot where they got their “passport books” stamped.  Rode awesome rides and met every single damn princess at the Askerhaus breakfast.

Some days they nearly survived on popcorn – we probably refilled our bucket over 15 times.  I’m truly not exaggerating.  That definitely happened.  They had ice cream nearly every day.

They went swimming every single day after the parks.  They swam until they could barely walk.  They stayed up late.

Their luggage was bursting with the toys, memorabilia and bits of fun from their Disney World adventure.

I just asked them what their favorite part of those five days was.  Guess what it was…..come on, you know you want to guess.
