We’re excited to have one more post from Jessica Sullivan on being foster parent.  And this one’s a keeper!  Check it out:

I became a foster parent after me and my partner found out we couldn’t have children on our own.  The child I have been blessed with looking after has filled a hole I didn’t know existed.

I’m so thankful to have this opportunity.  I hope to one day be able to adopt or continue fostering.

If you have read my other posts, you will have seen I’m not keen on the mess caring for a child can add to my life.  But it is a small price to pay.

My weekly tip to the mothers out there:

Don’t get bothered by the trials or tribulations of raising or caring for a child.

Enjoy it.

And buy lots of disinfectant!
