This week we’ve been chatting about Bleeping Audrey’s no-kid vacation with her husband to celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary.
If you missed it, you can learn what Audrey’s feet have in common with Barbara Bush here.

Also, don’t forget to check out her Top 5 kid-free realizations.

To top off the week, Audrey goes on to explain how to explore a Bed & Breakfast on her own time, without kids. Like an adult!

B & B Weekly Tip: Go Exploring & Take Pics

Each night at Captain Lourdes Mansion,  they serve an evening snack and beverage. While we were there, we enjoyed homemade delights and after dinner wine.

I’m not sure if it was the particular time of year it was, or just the nature of Bed & Breakfasts, but most everyone there was pretty darn old. By 9 p.m., there were snores coming from just about every room. Including mine. So on our last night, I decided to run amuck and see what trouble I could get into. No kids…weeee!

I ventured downstairs to the kitchen to see what treats the staff set up for us. Expecting to see at least a couple of people, I was surprised when I found that I was the only one up and at ‘em.

I poured myself a little wine, grabbed some banana bread and went into the parlor to sit by the fireplace. Could I BE more elderly?  I put my feet up on the couch and just took the room in. I then realized that I was surrounded by very interesting décor and decided to snap a few photos.

Realizing the Mansion was filled with such beauty and oddities I went around and took a few more pics and was delighted at some of the art I found.

Below are some photos of alluring objects I found when exploring the B &B.

Artwork of the people who lived here in the 1800s.

The Internet Room (literally a tiny closet that had a computer)

Still not sure what this is. ??

The parlor.

The original stove from the 1800s.

Cat statue.

Whether you’re doing nothing, or doing something, take a look around and check out the world around you. Just try not to turn into a 95 year old women while doing it.
