“Dear Husband put it best, we’re going through a rough time right now.  Combine a long sleep regression with Mini-ion #2 and separation anxiety in both mini-ions makes for two parents at odds.  Not necessarily with each other, just at odds.”

That recently came up in my facebook reminisce thingy from a blog post I wrote from my personal blog three years ago.  I had an almost four year old and a one and a half year old and times were tough.  I ended it with this advice:

“But I encourage you, if you see a mom or dad with a bit of deadness behind their eyes, it might be a series of very bad days.  Either give them a wide berth or an opportunity for fun.  Because they just might need it.”

You can read the entire post here.

The irony of that post coming up in my history was because just last week, I was at Target as part of promotion for our book, Bleeping Motherhood’s Would You Rather book of hilarious parenting choices.  I was challenged by co-author Audrey, with getting four people to answer our Would You Rathers in under two minutes.

I was doing pretty well.  I’d gotten three in under my belt and was headed down to the fourth.  And then I saw her – a mom with a bit of deadness behind her eyes.  And I really wanted to give her an opportunity for fun.

See what happened:

Here’s the thing.  We at Bleeping Motherhood want to help.  For all the times someone gave us a smile, a reassuring word or even held the door open when we were struggling with big strollers, bags and chaos.  Here’s this mom who maybe just needed a change of scenery and I think we needed to discover her.  We’d like to find that mom and send her a copy of our book.  Spread a little kindness and humor during those bleak times of early childhood exhaustion, both physically and mentally.  Let her know we’ve been there too, and it gets better!

The problem is, we don’t know who she is.  And, the quality of the video is poor.  Can you help us?  Share our link and our story and hopefully this Super Mom (as we’ve taken to calling her) can email us so we can send her some fun.  We were in Target in Monroe, NY on January 17th.  If that’s you, or possibly someone you know, please respond to our blog post, our facebook page or email us at sothishappened@bleepingmotherhood.com.
