My kids are the worst during diaper changing. They are strong little fuckers. They don’t sit still, and fight me during the ENTIRE diaper change. It’s wicked fun. Imagine now, changing their diaper and having to add a step because they have a diaper rash. Now I have to maneuver them in such a way to get the diaper cream on their butt while simultaneously dodging kicking feet to my jugular. Sometimes I feel like a ninja.

Being a ninja can be fun, but here’s another option when your kid is fighting his diaper change, has a diaper rash, and just won’t give you another second to get the balm on.

Get the diaper on, then let him do his thing. Put a dime size amount of the diaper cream on your finger, and when he’s not paying attention, sneak in his diaper and rub it on the affected area. (Yes this seems ridiculous, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do). This worked for me a couple of times, and it saved me from getting diaper cream all over the place. It’s funny how diaper cream can end up everywhere but their ass. Now this next part is optional, specifically if you need a good cry, or just want to mix it up a little. Take a another dime-size amount of diaper cream, and rub it directly in your eyes. Screaming from burning eye pain, also optional. Enjoy!
