It’s Halloween week! How are you preparing to scare your children? Creepy spiders dangling from the ceiling? Jumping out of closets, screaming “BOO!” Fake ketchup blood all over your shirt? There’s so many to choose.

I was never a huge Halloween junkie, but I don’t want to deprive my kids from enjoying themselves. And I certainly don’t want to deprive myself from stealing some of their hard earned neighborhood candy.

Here’s 3 Easy Steps for stealing your kids’ Halloween candy without getting caught:

1: Ask them if they want to play a fun game.

2: When they get all excited to play, ask them to cover their eyes. Then, quickly take one or two from their treat bag.

3: Do this 2 or 3 times a day, until you have a generous helping of candy for yourself, or until you’ve completely emptied their stash.

Yes, you’ll be kind of an asshole for doing this. But they get all kinds of treats all the time. You only get treats once in a while. So go for it!

BTW, my favorite Halloween treat is Snickers. So I’ll be stealing pretty much ALL of those from my kid’s Halloween stash.
